Aklok Found Unharmed Near Frame Lake Trail

Aklok was found tired and hungry, but otherwise uninjured.

RCMP have located the Stanton patient who went missing on Sunday evening after fleeing his escort while on leave from the hospital.

Allan Aklok, 25, was found this afternoon, shortly before 3:00 p.m., “in a wooded area which is part of the Frame Lake Trail,” according to an RCMP press release. “He was tired and hungry when located, but otherwise was uninjured.”

He’s since been returned to hospital.

In their initial press release, RCMP said Aklok was last seen leaving the hospital without shoes, and said he needed to “return [to the hospital] for treatment.”
