Curbside Shopping: Garage Sale Guide – July 11

If you’re not already busy running a half marathon on Saturday morning, there are plenty of yard sales happening to keep you running around town, especially in the Frame Lake area.

Speaking of Frame Lake, make sure to get your rummaging done early so that you can volunteer some of your time as part of the Frame Lake Rehabilitation, starting at 10:00 a.m. at Somba K’e Park. Put on your rubber boots, grab a bag and some gloves, and help clean up the shoreline of this once-vibrant body of water in the heart of City on its way back to life.

You’re also going to the Midnight Sun Fly-In this weekend, right? Activities will include a pancake breakfast on Saturday and activities all weekend including: a fly-out picnic, live entertainment, dockside dining, airplane rides, memorial fly-past, and plenty of great bush pilot conversation. For more ideas to fill your Saturday, be sure to see our Event listings.

By the way, we’re still hearing a lot of yardsellers reminding people about the No Early Bird rule. Do a lot of people still do that? Don’t do that. No one likes that. Unless you want to help with set-up and/or bring special coffee, don’t do that.

As always, if there are any other ways you think we can improve our Garage Sale Guide through the season, please let us know in the comments.
