Stop Blaming the Victim

Stop Blaming the Victim is the second of a four-part What Will it Take?  Family Violence rant series aimed at dispelling myths around family violence. When violence takes place, we often hear people blaming the victim by saying things like, ‘She should just leave’ and  ‘It’s her own fault.’

Stop Blaming the Victim helps dispel the myth that victims are to blame for their own abuse. The truth is that the person using the abuse is responsible for their own behavior.
