The outreach organization to support 2SLGBTQIPA+ (two spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, intersex, pansexual, asexual and aromantic) youth has existed since 2011, and became incorporated under the Societies Act on June 27, 2016 under the name “It Gets Better Yellowknife.”

Since then, we've rebranded to be known as the Northern Mosaic Network, and we've shifted our focus from Yellowknife to supporting the entirety of the Northwest Territories.

An organization by youth (and their families and their allies), for youth, Mosaic not only operates the Rainbow Youth Centre, but provides workshops, training, free programming, partnership projects, and works tirelessly to bring forward a new way of non-profit governance by promoting social entrepreneurship and organizational leadership among youth, through their interest in 2SLGBTQIPA+ issues and identities.
