Snowkings Winter Festival is a month-long celebration of community spirit, collaboration and innovation in the arts. It's a place where the spirit of winter wonderment from all our collective childhood reigns supreme.

Our mandate includes:

1. Celebrating arts and music in a unique winter setting and capturing the imagination of children and children at heart.
2. Promoting local and northern content, fostering cultural participation and strengthening connections among members of the community.
3. Providing a venue (Snowcastle and environs) for northern artists and performers.
4. Promoting cultural heritage.
5. Presenting Yellowknife as a tourist destination during the winter season.
