Administrative Assistant

Responsibilities

Under the authority of Yellowknives Dene First Nation Government Chief and Council, and under the direct supervision of the Director, Community Wellness, the Administrative Assistant will provide direct secretarial and administrative support services for all aspects of Community Wellness programs. This newly consolidated Community Wellness Division which consists of a positive holistic family wellness, community wellness, counselling program to better serve the Yellowknives Dene First Nation members.

Qualifications

Typically, the above qualifications would be attained by:

  • Diploma or certificate in Secretarial Arts, or Office Administration with a minimum of 2 years of related work experience; or
  • An equivalent combination of education, related 4 years work experience and training will be considered;
  • Course work in MS Computers and software programs.

 

The candidate must be able to work with minimal supervision and interact with individuals of all levels in a friendly yet professional manner.  This position is located in  Ndilo.
