Description
This specialist position aims to promote, coordinate, and facilitate the adoption, foster, and transfer of dogs, cats, and critters in the care of the NWT SPCA. The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily functions, development and growth of the adoption, foster and transfer programs. This role requires urgent and focused attention to accomplish essential tasks and plays a direct role in the NWT SPCA’s mission and organizational success. PLANNING AND ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS ARE ESSENTIAL.
The NWT SPCA is non-profit charity located in Yellowknife and helps all Northern Communities. We reply on donations and public support to operate programs and services.
Responsibilities
Duties:
Coordinate, manage and conduct day-to-day adoption, foster and transfer program activities; create and contribute to strategies for operational efficiency and improved outcomes, including pre-and post-adoption and foster parent support.
Work collaboratively with NWT SPCA shelter managers in all areas of operations to develop, evolve, and implement efficient processes to achieve program goals;
Follow policies, procedures, and task lists, including accurate and timely communications, work completion, data entry, and record-keeping
Recruit, lead and empower volunteers and volunteer teams to enhance and improve NWT SPCA programs to the greatest extent possible to help expand the NWT SPCA’s capacity.
