Job Types: 

Full-time, Permanent ; 37,5/h (week)

Main duties

• Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs with accuracy and efficiency in accordance with manufacturer standards
• test automotive systems and components using computerized diagnostic and other testing devices to diagnose and isolate faults and perform repairs
• Examine the vehicle to determine the need for additional safety or service repairs
• Notify Service Advisor immediately if further work is necessary, if work outlined is not needed, or repairs cannot be completed within the allotted time frame
• Document in detail the cause and corrective repairs performed
• Complete job quotations on labour and parts
• Perform wheel alignments and adjustments as required
• Road-test vehicles to quality check work performed
• Maintain a neat and orderly workshop and service bay
• Comply with required health & safety regulations

Qualifications:

• Excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills
• Ability to adapt to a changing environment and meet deadlines
• Strong computer & leadership skills
• Clean Driver's Abstract
• Good communication skills and attention to detail
• Must have the ability to multi-task and work under pressure
• Knowledge of small engines is an added advantage

Experience:

• automotive technician: 5 years (preferred)
• Knowledgeable in electronic systems

Licence/Certification:

• Drivers License (required)
• Journeyman (required)
