Casual After School Care Leads Position: 2022/2023 School Year

General Description The After School Care Program Lead is responsible for supervising and leading Yellowknife Catholic Schools after-school care for students ages 4 to 12 in order to ensure that all children are provided with safe and stimulating after-school care. This position is scheduled to work Thursday afternoons from 12:00 pm - 5:30 pm and has an hourly rate of $40.90.

Required Education and Recommended Knowledge, Qualifications, and Experience ● Knowledge and experience working with school-age children ● Knowledge of current child care practices and strategies ● First Aid Certification is preferred ● Updated vaccinations required - Tdap and TB skin test ● A vulnerable Sector Check is required

Required Skills and Abilities ● Ability to manage several tasks at one time ● Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills ● Excellent organizational skills ● Ability to work independently ● Effective verbal and listening communication skills ● Conflict management and resolution skills
