Responsibilities

Director, Public Works & Infrastructure

Under the authority of the YKDFN Government Chiefs and Council and reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director is directly responsible for the effective and efficient management of all aspects of public works and infrastructure for the communities of Dettah and Ndilo.  The Director is also responsible for the daily operation of public work services for the communities of YKDFN.  This includes, but is not limited to, infrastructure planning and development, and implement special projects that are identified by the strategic goals of YKDFN.

Qualifications

Typically, the above qualifications would be attained by:

  • A post-secondary education in related Engineering and Public Works or Business Administration and 2 years’ management experience; or a diploma in Business Administration or Management and 4 years’ management experience; or
  • Equivalent combination of 5 years’ work experience in a senior management position with relevant training and education will be considered.
  • Valid Class ‘5’ Driver’s License and own personal vehicle.
