Up Here magazine is looking for an experienced, creative editor to take our award-winning magazine to a new level.

The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and shaping innovative content that is relevant to the magazine’s print and online audiences.

The editor will oversee a small editorial team and will maintain contact with a number of regular freelancers.   This position is located in Yellowknife, NT, and the editor must be prepared to relocate.   The editor reports directly to the publisher.

We are looking for someone with at least five years’ experience in magazine publishing who has excellent editorial planning, editing and writing skills.  The individual in this position should be well organized and able to manage relationships with other divisions of the company.

Up Here magazine celebrates its 37th anniversary in 2021 and over the years has won numerous awards, including Canada’s magazine of the year (2009), Canada’s best special interest magazine, (2014) and best magazine in western Canada (three times). Up Here magazine is part of Up Here Publishing Ltd. which also publishes a business magazine and several travel guides.
