Description
Ecology North is looking for a dynamic and creative Education Program Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will contribute to educating youth and the general public on diverse environmental initiatives in the realms of climate change adaptation and mitigation, local food production, waste reduction, water stewardship, and nature appreciation. Our Education Program Manager needs to be motivated, highly productive, and a self-starter.
The Education Program Manager’s main responsibilities will be to refine our existing environmental education programs and resources for youth, where youth is considered to be those up to age 30. There will also be opportunities to deliver these resources and programs as part of this position. The Education Program Manager will be expected to write grant proposals for the education program, and will have the chance to provide direction for future programming.
This position is a full‐time one-year contract. The contract will be renewed provided there is interest from both the candidate and from Ecology North.
Ecology North is proud to offer a flexible workplace. The ideal candidate will be hired at 30 hours/week, however, more or fewer hours can be negotiated.

Qualifications
A university or college degree related to education and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the North. Equivalents will be considered.

The Education Program Manager’s enthusiasm will build on previous work within the organization in this area and bring our strategic plan to life.
