We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated community-minded individual to assume the position of Enforcement Operations Supervisor with the Public Safety Department.

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Manager of Municipal Enforcement, the Enforcement Operations Supervisor directs day-to-day activities of Municipal Enforcement Officers to ensure operational objectives are met, and directs enforcement of By-laws and compliance with policies of the City to ensure lawful conduct of Officers and safe and compliant activity of the general public.

Qualifications

The work requires a minimum of a two-year Police Studies/Social Science program at the Community College level or higher, or basic training with a recognized police force or equivalent work related experience. The incumbent must also have at least two years’ previous supervisory experience. A valid N.W.T. Class 5 Driver's License and a St. John's Ambulance Standard First Aid Certificate, or equivalency, are required.

 

 

The City of Yellowknife offers an attractive salary range of $90,879 - $113,603 as well as a comprehensive benefits package including monthly housing and vacation travel allowances, and a defined benefits pension plan.
