The NWT Montessori Society is hiring a full-time Montessori Casa Teacher in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. We are seeking a dedicated Casa Teacher who is passionate and committed to the Montessori philosophy. Our Casa program is designed to develop social, emotional and problem-solving skills that stay with our students for life.

To plan and implement an effective Montessori program for children within a warm and nurturing learning environment 

To supervise the children at all times, ensuring a safe environment 

To maintain a positive and consistent approach towards child management that is compatible with the philosophy and values of the NWT Montessori Society 

To communicate with parents on a daily basis in an open and supportive manner 

To assist, supervise, and guide students as well as the Classroom Assistant

To demonstrate sound knowledge of all relevant sections of the Northwest Territories Daycare Act

To maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and courtesy at all times 

Accredited Montessori Casa Diploma (AMI or TMI an asset) 

Current Standard First Aid, Level C 

Experience in a Montessori Classroom 

Current Immunization Records 

Current Criminal Reference Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
