Based out of our office in Yellowknife, the Project and Community Support Coordinator is focused on supporting the Snap Lake Remediation Project team in implementing and reporting on the targets defined by the Impact Benefit and Socio-Economic Agreements pertaining to the Snap Lake Project. The position is also required to support the Human Resources and Travel Teams in their efforts to source employees from the local communities and coordinate travel to and from Site.
- Experience, awareness, and confidence to create and deliver captivating presentations in diverse group settings
- Class 5 drivers license - must be maintained for the duration of employment
- Strong knowledge working with PowerPoint and Excel
- Strong communication skills with the ability to create professional relationships with the project team, community members and prospective and current employees
- Ability to work with little or no supervision, often in an individual setting
Responsibilities
- Support the HR Team in communicating and coordinating project staffing requirements with local community liaisons and/ or employment coordinators
- Coordinate, facilitate and promote cultural exchange activities for site personnel
- Support the HR and Project Management teams to participate in and host job fairs and other community events
- Work with local training organizations to communicate project needs and coordinate with program delivery
- Assist the Project team as required which may include but is not limited to coordinating pre-access and onboarding activities, communicating travel details, and meeting and transferring personnel from incoming community flights
- Collect, report and communicate project level data as required
Qualifications
- Previous experience in an industrial or mine setting is considered an asset
- High school diploma with post-secondary education from a recognized post-secondary facility considered an asset
