Description

YWCA NWT is looking for a person or organization to perform an evaluation of our Safe Homes project in 3 NWT communities.

YWCA NWT has been granted federal government funding to test different ways of providing “Safe Home” options in smaller, remote communities in the Northwest Territories (NWT). These communities currently do not have a safe space for women and their children to go to when they are experiencing violence.

The pilot will include one “Safe Home” option in three regions of the NWT that do not currently have domestic violence shelters. While the needs are great in all parts of the territory, preliminary research indicated the Tlicho, Sahtu and Dehcho regions all include under-serviced communities.

Scope of the Evaluation

We’ve worked with a local evaluator to develop the evaluation framework as part of the funding proposal to Women and Gender Equity Canada (WAGE). The existing framework includes the program theory and logic model with expected results.

The evaluator will be expected to carry out a feasibility assessment and complete an implementation plan as required. The evaluator will also perform annual program evaluations and complete the final summary evaluation at the end of the project.

RFP's are due May 23 to Hawa Dumbuya-Sesay, YWCA NWT Executive Director: ed@ywcanwt.ca.  Download the full RFP document and requirements here. https://ywcanwt.ca/jobs
