Roofer/Carpenter

Conditions: Permanent, Full Time, Weekend, Day, 40.00 Hours per week + Overtime, Dental Benefits, vacation pay at 4% of gross. Start Date: ASAP.

Location: Yellowknife NT. Experience: 1 to 3 years. Languages: English.

Work Area: Construction, Re-roofing, Repairs, Historical restoration.

Work Setting: Commercial, Institutional, Industrial, and Residential.

Work Site Environment: At heights, Noisy, Dusty Transportation/Travel.

Transportation: Willing to travel, Valid driver's license.

Area of Specialization: Shingled or MBM Flat roofs.

Specific Skills: Carpentry Work, Install sheet metal flashings, Set up scaffolding, Troubleshoot and detect leaks, Repair or replace roofing systems, Inspect re-roofing, Maintain motors, Pumps and power equipment

Additional Skills: Supervise other workers. Weight Handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs.).

Own Tools/Equipment: Tools, Safety equipment/gear, Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat, Safety glasses/goggles, Safety harness.

Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing.
