Responsibilities
- Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service;
- Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way;
- Have full knowledge of all beverage lists;
- Follow wine service steps when needed;
- Use suggestive and up selling techniques;
- Deliver food and beverages in a timely and accurate manner;
- Pick up orders efficiently from the kitchen;
- Check outgoing orders for quality and accuracy;
- Have full knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods;
- Follow policies, procedures and service standards;
- Utilize proper cash handling and room post procedures;
- Process orders using the POS;
- Process all payments in accordance with accounting policies;
- Assist in refilling extra stock items and polish cutlery;
- Work in accordance with the Food Safety Act, Health & Safety Regulations and licensing lawsÂ
Qualifications
- 2+ years of Food & Beverage service experience;
- Excellent communication and organizational skills;
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities;
- Highly responsible and reliable;
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times;
- Responsible Alcohol Beverage Service Card;
- Food Safety Certificate (preferred);
- Must be at least 19 years of age.
