Description
Northern Mosaic Network is seeking an enthusiastic and resourceful part-time Sustainable Fund Development Coordinator (SFDC) for a one-year contract. The SFDC will be responsible for finding additional funding for the organization’s operations, improving fundraising and donor recognition methods, and collaborating on future financial planning. Day-to-day responsibilities include finding and applying for funding opportunities, creating and facilitating fundraising events, and completing funding reports.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Grants and Funding Research: Research grant and funding opportunities that align with the organization’s mandate, existing projects, and future program goals, and map information and resources needed to complete applications
Grant Applications and Reporting: Write grant applications, funding proposals and complete grant reporting and financial reports
Develop a Grant Calendar: Using data from research, develop a grant calendar for the organization to optimize funding opportunities
Develop a Fundraising Plan: Research and develop a fundraising plan to secure the organization a building to host its head office and Rainbow Youth Centre, and facilitate fundraising events where applicable
Funding Partner Relationship Development: Connect with representatives of current and prospective funding sources, as well as donors, to develop relationships
Qualifications

Comprehensive understanding of Two Spirit, Indigiqueer and gender and sexually diverse communities, people and issues, including lived experience

Experience writing successful grant applications, funding proposals and/or multi-year projects or organizational core funding

Experience with fundraising, planning and establishing relationships with funding partners and donors

Understanding of the non-profit funding landscape for 2SLGBTQIPA+ organizations and NWT organizations
