Nahanni Construction Ltd. is accepting resumes for Underground Site Services Labourers to work at the Giant Mine Site in Yellowknife, NT. The successful candidates will work on a rotational schedule based in a work camp environment. The Job will start out with a couple of rotations of underground work and then transfer into site services when production starts. The rotation is tentatively a three (3) weeks on / three (3) weeks off schedule.  The rotation is subject to change based on organizational requirements.

• Assisting Carpenters building barricades underground
• Loading/Carrying materials to Underground worksites
• Helping keep work areas free of debris and clutter
• Working with small tools and medium equipment
• Drilling holes in rock face for supports
• Running cables for internet
• Fueling and Maintaining pumps, light plants, and other small equipment
• Operate mobile equipment (loader, skid steer, mini excavator, etc.)
• Participating in daily tool-box meetings
• Reviewing and preparing daily Field Level Hazard Assessments
• Participating in weekly safety meetings
• Advising supervision of unsafe conditions or acts that may be a hazard or danger to oneself and other workers
• Read, interpret and act on instructions from supervision
• Ensuring tools and equipment are returned to job boxes and tool cribs
• Reporting all incidents/accidents including “near misses”

• 2/3 years’ experience working as a Labourer preferred
• Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs
• Ability to learn quickly and keep up with tight schedule
• Flexible and adaptable to change
• Good organization and communication skills
• Able to complete physically demanding work with significant periods of standing and kneeling.
