CBC is reinvesting in the regions by creating new positions across Canada as part of our digital strategy. Come join us on this exciting challenge to explore new ways of telling stories and diving deep into how media is created, transmitted and consumed.
As a Reporter/Editor, your primary objective is to perform reporting and editorial assignments related to the gathering, writing and presentation of program material for all three of our media platforms: Radio, Television and the Web.
You will develop and maintain contact with a variety of sources as well as work in close co-operation with your program unit. You will also, as required, critically edit material written by others, present information and/or analysis on air in a variety of formats, and perform other production or administrative tasks associated with the smooth functioning of the newsroom, program unit or station. Your work will be governed by CBC's journalistic and broadcasting policy and protocols.

You’re innovative and will champion new story treatments and new workflows, and will help create a diverse range of content on our radio, television, digital and social platforms. You’re not afraid to take creative risks, and you inspire others to do the same.
As the industry shifts, local news and community storytelling is more important than ever. You will understand the diverse and changing population across the North and the importance of reflecting all our communities in our content.
