This job opening is limited to residents living within 25 kilometres of Behchoko.
Department Information
The Department of Finance has the mandate to provide leadership and direction to the public service in all areas of finance and human resource management. This mandate includes negotiating major financial arrangements with the federal government, providing analysis and advice to the Financial Management Board, and ensuring that financial and information resources are managed effectively, efficiently and economically. This mandate also includes the recruitment and retention of a competent public service that is representative of the people it serves and the development of programs and services that effectively serve the human resource needs of the public service.
Job Information
You would be working with a team that prioritizes respect, support and communication. As a Human Resource professional, you would be supporting front-line human resource services in the areas of recruitment, employee orientation and employee recognition. You would be directly responsible for providing a positive first impression and for promoting the GNWT as an employer of choice.
To be successful in this role, you would have communication skills, the ability to multitask and strong attention to detail. You would also have a Management Studies or Human Resources diploma, with 2 years of experience in an office environment.
