Department Information
The mandate of the Department of Justice is to administer justice, including policing, community justice, victims services and corrections in the Northwest Territories. This mandate will be carried out in a manner which respects community and indigenous values and encourages communities to assume increasing responsibilities.
Job Information
The Relief Facility Administration Officer will provide administrative and support services for the Fort Smith Correctional Complex Woman's Unit. You will answer and direct phone calls to the appropriate party, greet clients/individuals upon arrival to the office, maintain records, mail, and document appointments. You will assist inmates with financial services as well support all staff with processing travel authorizations, booking travel, ensure the financial reporting and verification is complete as you are responsible for all accounts payable Visa purchases and monthly tracking.
You will need to maintain a filing system and file documents as directed. Assist with variance reporting and gather information, update inventory, and to perform financial data entry.
Typically, qualifications would be attained by:
Obtain a High School Diploma with at least 2 (two) years of related experience.
