The Law Society of the Northwest Territories is seeking a dedicated and motivated candidate to join our team. As a Project Support Associate, you will gain valuable hands-on experience in various aspects of legal regulation, committee support work and community engagement initiatives.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Assistance: Provide support to committees by maintaining project documentation and tracking systems, overseeing and managing tasks and collaborating with committee members.
- Communication Support: Assist in communicating with committees and project leads as well as external partners. This may involve drafting correspondence, announcements and newsletters.
- Research Assistance: Conduct research on various topics related to the project such as jurisdictional reviews.
- Meeting Coordination: Assist in coordinating meetings including scheduling, preparing materials and taking notes to capture key discussions and action items.
- Community Engagement: Contribute to outreach efforts aimed at promoting public awareness of legal services.
- Data Entry and Analysis: Assist in maintaining databases and records related to membership, complaints and other regulatory matters.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports on project status, accomplishments and challenges.
Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to diverse audiences.
- Excellent research skills and ability to research across various sources and platforms.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Detail-oriented approach with strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a collaborative team environment.
- Demonstrated interest in the legal profession, regulatory governance or access to justice issues.
