
Description
Reporting primarily to the Rental Supervisor the Rental Assistant organizes and administers the rental fleet to customers, including coordinating delivery, setting up rental contracts, following up with billing and payment methods. Take note of damages on return. Expectations are that you are professional at all times and strive to work in a safe environment.

Responsibilities
Reporting to the Rental Supervisor, you will be responsible for:
- Assist with necessary paperwork to get the rental in motion
- Coordinate activity with the appropriate yard person/ delivery driver
- Arrange transport if necessary
- Communicate status of rental with customer and assigned sales representative
- Perform yard walks/inventories of assigned branches
- Assist with rental billing to ensure customer satisfaction
- Other duties as assigned
- Attend sales, staff and safety meetings;
- May be required to take a course or travel after hours
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
Qualifications
- Minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent; post-secondary diploma is an asset;
- Minimum of two years’ experience in the customer service/retail industry/construction, preferably in the rental industry;
- Able to read and understand contracts
- Proficient with common computer applications
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, written and communication skills;
- Thrives in a fast paced environment with strict deadlines;
- Able to lift and carry 50lbs;
- Must have a valid driver’s abstract
- Must provide drivers abstract upon hire
